About us
Fifty years of signs, still made in Scarborough
The Brothers Markle designs, builds and installs signs for businesses, developers and institutions across the GTA. We combine modern fabrication with the hand skills the shop was founded on.

How we work
We have been making signs in Toronto for 50+ years. In that time the tools have changed, from hand-formed letters and painted boards to CNC routers, LED lighting and digital printing. What hasn't changed is how we work: one team takes your sign from the first drawing to the day it switches on.
That matters more than it sounds. When the people who design your sign also build and install it, the drawing you approve is the sign you get. There's no gap between a designer's idea and what the shop can make, and no finger-pointing between subcontractors when something needs fixing.
What we make
Eleven kinds of signs: channel letters, pylon signs, neon, illuminated signs, cut-out letters and plaques, architectural signage, wayfinding, donor walls, vehicle graphics, vinyl graphics and large format printing.
Built to last
Toronto is hard on signs: freeze-thaw cycles, road salt and full summer sun. We choose materials and finishes for where each sign will live, so it looks right for years, not seasons.
Our history
Fifty years of getting it right the first time.
The beginning
A shop, two brothers and a bending brake
The business begins with hand-formed letters and painted signs, built on a shared love of the craft and a belief that a sign should last as long as its building.
Growth
From hand-formed to illuminated
Investment in fabrication and lighting brings channel letters, illuminated cabinets and architectural signage in-house: design, manufacture and installation under one roof.
Today
Eleven disciplines, one team
The shop now covers everything from neon and donor walls to vehicle graphics, large format printing and full wayfinding systems for campuses, hospitals and municipalities across the GTA.
